      I just pay off my credit cards completely when the bill arrives. I haven’t paid a cent in interest but have received several gift cards from them :-) If they lower the APR rates then I’ll consider carrying a balance over 30 days and they can make more of a profit besides transaction fees charged to the retailer when i use the card. I have a credit score of over 800 yet my interest rates are over 25%. Yikes. Used to be 11%.

      i’ve had my 2 cards for 10 years, one of them went up to 21% from being at 9%. i called the company up to cancel my card, got them to lower my interest back to 9% instead. i keep them around for Emergencies, i try to use cash whenever possible.
