My Tribute to Jimi Hendrix – Tax Free Live at Winterland

This is my first video! Horayy! xD The video is dedicated to Jimi Hendrix and all his fans. I made it also as my first home made video, so the timing could be better, but I tried to capture the essence of Jimi’s expressions and the whole mood he puts into the solo/song he plays. And if anybody is going to make a cover, let me know. And the same goes for a tab, cause this is one of the songs I wanna learn the most icon wink My Tribute to Jimi Hendrix Tax Free Live at Winterland

    10. Incredible version of Tax Free, have been listening to this for 20 years and never bored of it…. the bit around 4:30 onwards with Noel redding overdriving his bass and Jimi cutting in is amazing … top marks

    11. To possession a live version 14:32 minutes of this masterpiece, the Jimi on the 17th July, 1970 in the Downing stadium, Randall’s island, New York, N. Y., USA,recorded, on German “Jimi Hendrix Live USA” Bootleg CD of the German Imtrat Music media distribution. Rare, very first-class guitar masterpiece which brings his skill fully for carrying. R. I. P. JIMI from Germany!!

    12. This is so heavy: there are moments on this track when you’d swear it was 4 or 5 guys playing – hard to believe there’s just three dudes making all that noise. Such a tight performance too – I always imagined Hendrix was pretty loose and free when it came to preparation but they must have had some serious rehearsal to pull this one off: the interplay and changes are so intricate, and it’s just perfect. Definitely one of the best dozen or so live Hendrix tracks captured on tape.

    13. @SteadyHaze That’s a groovy performance, no doubt – but this one takes it, for me.

    14. Nobody “really” plays like this guy did/ I mean really!

    15. I really dig this disc his playing is great throughout the cd

    16. @IExposeMormonism Damn you. If I could see ONE concert, it would be this performance. I’ve listened to this record countless times. Hendrix perfection.

    17. I dedicate this song to Bo Hansson whom passed today

    18. @hypnotstcollector It’s possible you saw Jimi earlier in ’68 as I think he might have played Winterland at that time. He definitely played Winterland in October of ’68.

But he never played Winterland in ’69 or ’70.

    19. @cutis1000 Wel, I spoke with my friend and there is some confusion. But I’m sure I saw Hendrix 2X at Winterland. But I’ll have to speak with my friend some more and see what we can sort out…There was some Panama Red involved and to this day we all say it was the best we ever saw. This was 1969..And we saw and still see plenty. I recall one Winterland was a weekend that was recorded, made into an album. Buddy Miles was an act at one. I think Neil Diamond was an act at (same?) one.

    20. @mance02 LA Forum 1969.04.26 obviously slipped your mind. That’s ok, it happens.

    21. @IExposeMormonism You didn’t see Jimi at Winterland twice because Jimi last played Winterland in October of ’68 and did not play Winterland in ’69.

    22. @IExposeMormonism Motherfucking lucky!!!

    23. i loved this ver
