mulan – I’ll make a man out of you lyrics
I DONT OWN ANYTHING EXEPT THE IDEA TO THE VIDEO. All rights go too Walt disney pictures. Lyrics here and on screen: Shang: Let’s get down to business–to defeat the Huns. Did they send me daughters when I asked for sons? You’re the saddest bunch I ever met But you can bet before we’re through Mister, I’ll make a man out of you Tranquil as a forest But on fire within Once you find your center You are sure to win You’re a spineless, pale, pathetic lot And you haven’t got a clue Somehow I’ll make a man out of you! Chien-Po: I’m never gonna catch my breath Yao: Say good-bye to those who knew me Ling: Boy I was a fool in school for cutting gym Mushu: This guy’s got ‘em scared to death Mulan: Hope he doesn’t see right through me Chien-Po: Now I really wish that I knew how to swim! Shang and Chorus: (To Be a man) We must be swift as the coursing river (To Be a man) With all the force of a great typhoon (To Be a man) With all the strength of a raging fire Mysterious as the dark side of the moon Time is racing toward us till the Huns arrive Heed my every order and you might survive You’re unsuited for the rage of war So pack up, go home, you’re through How could I make a man out of you? Shang and Chorus: (To Be a man) We must be swift as the coursing river (To Be a man) With all the force of a great typhoon (To Be a man) With all the strength of a raging fire Mysterious as the dark side of the moon (To Be a man) We must be swift as the coursing river (To Be a man) With all the …

Personally, this song gets kind of song gets old after a while. The TFS parody is much better. watch my show!!!!!!!!!!
Comment by NeverlandLostGirl on 8 January 2011:
I think the whole point of this song was that it was meant to challenge mulan in what she believed about herself. The fact that the song is talking about being a man and being strong and the fact that mulan struggled and nearly gave up but didn’t and became so strong just proved that you don’t have to be a man to be strong and a fighter. Still, it is a great song! Good lyrics and an awesome beat. I LOVE MULAN! YOU GO GIRL!

@KatLuff yes, I saw it second time yesterday
but considering the theme of the movie, I wondered if the song kind of contradicts the story. O well, just wondered.

Mulan is the only independent Disney princess. All the others are portrayed as damsels in destress waiting for prince charming. I always looked up to Mulan as a little girl.
