as for income disparity and poverty the liberal views of big nanny type governments will not fix any of that. We should be pushing the idea of personal responsibilities far more than personal entitlements and human rights.

Unlike conservatives under Bush, Liberals have been enough of a thorn in the presidents side that his spokesperson actually attacked his own base.

Due to the economic web of globalization, all economies felt the recession in one way or another, Europe just happened to take more damage.

While keeping interest rate low was stupid. And corporatist Greenspan also helped cause the problem.There wouldn’t be this economic crisis with so many bad loans repackaged and sold to foreigners. Countrywide was a big part of predatory lending.Companies like Countrywide is at fault because they made riskier loans because of the demand from investment banks Of course the ratings agencies and investment banks did the most damage.

@jxsilicon9 The point is that it really has nothing to do with the countrywides of the industry making loans, packaging and selling them on wall street if there are buyers. You have to look at the root – who was funding the loans? The Federal Reserve was the fount of the easy credit.
