      What I liked about this was that usually when characters lose their jobs, they get it back within the episode. When a divorce happens it gets resolved by the next episode or something. But this show carried it out for a LONG time… It felt real. You feel worried, like are they ever going to get their jobs back?? OMG Niles is still going through that divorce? It’s getting worse? It was so authentic. It wasn’t resolved in one episode. Truly groundbreaking IMO.

      Wow was Daphne out of line. I mean, you WORK for him! He’s your boss! And Frasier can spend HIS money how he wants!! Roz has a kid and her rent apparently went up AND she borrowed a load from Frasier. When your spending someone else’s money, have rent, and most importantly, A KID… Daphne gets the STFU award. Frasier has done nothing wrong in wanting to talk to Roz about her spending.

      I’ve lent money to friends before, and the consequences of that were not that great. We’re closer friends now, but it did take him a while to pay me back the money… and it got awkward. And though I do understand Frasier’s frustration, I agree with Martin and Niles: bringing up the subject is not a very good idea. I guess if you were very close friends, you might be able to, but it is still very risky.

      I don’t know who the hell Daphne thinks she is talking to her employer like that. If Frasier likes to live his life in luxury, then that’s his choice. Its none of Daphne’s business. If you ask me, she should keep her mouth shut in future.

      holy hell a niles and daphne spin off? they’ll never do it. unless they recast daphne, since the actress playing it here is obviously terribly inept. niles would also be unable to sustain a leading role. go ahead, make the movie, you’ll never work again, but it will have nothing to do with your success.

      totally. i hate daphne. the character is badly written, and HIDEOUSLY acted. the show could have done without her. she plays basically the same role in every single episode, same old jokes just differently worded, but always acted the same. i think the actress is jane leeves, and she can barely be called an actress. my two yr old nephew could read the lines the same as her. she puts fuck all effort into building her character. its too late now but they should definitely have sacked her.
